On the basis of Directive 2002\/49\/EC (Environmental Noise Directive) and its transposition into national law (\u00a7\u00a7 47 a-f BImSchG), the cities and municipalities in Saxony-Anhalt are obliged both to map noise on main roads with more than 3 million vehicles per year (DTV 8,200 vehicles per day) and to draw up a noise action plan. Based on the date of the initial creation and regular updating of the noise maps in a 5-year cycle, this is the 4th stage (4th round). Strategic noise maps were drawn up for the main roads within the jurisdiction of the town of Wolmirstedt, which have a corresponding volume of traffic, in accordance with new calculation regulations. In the territory of the town of Wolmirstedt, the B 189 and the BAB 2 are affected.<\/p>\n\n

The corresponding results report on environmental noise mapping level 4 on main roads in Saxony-Anhalt is available on the City of Wolmirstedt website at www.stadtwolmirstedt.de<\/a> under Town Hall – Announcements and at the Citizens’ Information Point in Wolmirstedt Town Hall during office hours.<\/p>\n\n

It should be noted that due to the amended calculation regulations VBUS (preliminary calculation method for environmental noise on roads), a comparison with the results of previous stages is not possible.<\/p>\n\n

Based on the results of the strategic noise maps, a draft version of a noise action plan is prepared.<\/p>\n\n

The aim of the planning is to determine and assess the noise situation in the town of Wolmirstedt and, if necessary, to examine and define strategies and measures for noise reduction or precautions for the protection of identified quiet areas. <\/p>\n\n

You have until 18.08. 2023<\/strong> the opportunity to comment on the noise mapping results in writing to the City of Wolmirstedt, Urban Development Department, Urban Planning, August-Bebel-Stra\u00dfe 25 or by e-mail to: d.bunk@stadtwolmirstedt.de<\/a> – and to make comments and suggestions on the noise action plan. The comments are evaluated and included in the draft plan.<\/p>\n\n

As part of the second phase of public participation, you will again have the opportunity to comment on the completed draft of the noise action plan. The dates of the 2nd phase of public participation will be communicated in a separate announcement.<\/p>\n\n
