Wolmirstedt regional market doesn’t fall through despite the rain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The town of Wolmirstedt had also meticulously organized the second regional market of 2025 at the castle domain. All preparations had been made for the popular event: Musicians had been engaged, traders had agreed to take part, schoolchildren were on hand with cakes for sale, pumpkin carving, face painting for children, a book flea market and a fashion show had been arranged. Only the weather gods did not cooperate and sent a lot of rain on October 4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this reason, those responsible at the town hall quickly moved the market to the museum barn, where a community singing event had taken place the day before to mark German Unity Day. “That was the best decision, so we didn’t have to stand in the rain. Our goods shouldn’t have gotten wet,” commented one trader. It was a minor logistical feat to arrange all the stands, which had previously been set up on the large castle grounds, in the barn. But in the end, the guests were able to browse for goods, eat and drink and take advantage of all the offers without getting wet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regional traders offered everything from handmade jewelry to pumpkins, fruit and vegetables, fashion and plants to venison sausage. The fashion show by the “Stoffconzebt” boutique revealed what is currently fashionable. In keeping with the season, two pupils and children carved scary and funny faces into pumpkins, children could have their faces painted and ninth graders sold homemade cakes. The musician “Jack Haunt” and the duo “Handgemacht” provided musical entertainment. There was also plenty going on at the Wolmirstedt town stand. Visitors were able to find out more about the town and the region, there were small marketing gifts and a wheel of fortune with great prizes for children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the coming year, the town council is hoping for better weather for the two regional markets in spring and fall, but one thing is certain: even if the sun doesn’t shine, the regional market doesn’t have to be canceled. Because the people of Wolmirstedt have proven that they are not deterred by rain and enjoy coming to their rustic museum barn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
