29th puzzle tournament in Farsleben

Matthias Fischer wins the 2026 puzzle tournament

There is a long-standing New Year tradition in the Wolmirstedt district of Farsleben. In 2026, a puzzle tournament was once again held at “Webers Hof” – for the 29th time.

73 participants were registered and had a lot of fun solving the puzzles. In the end, Matthias Fischer secured first place, followed by Niclas Stage in second place and Uli Krebs in third place. All participants received prizes, which were made available thanks to numerous sponsors. And because there can’t just be first place winners, but also last places, Wolmirstedt’s mayor Mike Steffens sponsored a consolation prize on behalf of the town for the last place. This time it went to Marita Knackmuß.  

“A big thank you to the Förderverein der Feuerwehr Farsleben e.V. and to all the hard-working helpers who made this event possible,” said Mike Steffens. Incidentally, the 30th Farsleben puzzle tournament is already being planned and will take place on January 9, 2027.
