Art and culture around the Tauber Valley

Jörg Bonewitz shows the beauties of the “Lovely Tauber Valley” in his lecture.
Medieval towns, defiant castles and romantic palaces are strung together like pearls on a string in the Tauber Valley.
The Tauber Valley Cycle Route starts in medieval Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The cycle route leads through a beautiful cultural landscape past vine-covered slopes and woodland along the Tauber.
Via Bad Mergentheim with its historic old town, the route continues to Wertheim. This is where the Tauber flows into the Main. The route continues along the Main to Würzburg, a Bavarian city famous for its many baroque and rococo-style buildings.
The last stage leads along the Main and along a disused railroad line towards Tauberrettersheim. The round trip ends in Rothenburg after a strenuous climb.
