Application as arbitrator for the city of Wolmirstedt

    Dear citizens,

    The term of office of the current arbitrators of the city of Wolmirstedt ends on 21.08.2024.

    The town of Wolmirstedt is looking for an arbitrator for voluntary work in the arbitration board.

    An arbitrator is appointed and sworn into office for a period of 5 years by the management of the local court.

    Pursuant to Section 3 of the Arbitration Act (SchStG) of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, persons are eligible to serve as arbitrators,

    • who have the right to vote,
    • who have their main residence in the arbitration district and
    • who have reached the age of 25.

    Is excluded as arbitrator,

    • anyone who, as a result of a court ruling, is not fit to hold public office or has been sentenced to more than six months’ imprisonment for an intentional offense,
    • who is charged with an offense that may result in the loss of the ability to hold public office,
    • who has fallen into financial difficulties.

    The tasks of arbitrators include the amicable settlement of criminal cases and civil law disputes in the cases specified by law. An arbitrator works on a voluntary basis and does not receive any remuneration, but is compensated for material costs in accordance with Sections 8 and 12 SchStG.

    The arbitrator is appointed to their office by the management of Haldensleben Local Court.
