Election notifications have been sent out in Wolmirstedt, but postal voting documents will not arrive until later

The city of Wolmirstedt has sent out most of the election notifications for the early Bundestag election on Sunday, February 23. The first applications for postal voting are now being received from citizens.

The city administration would like to point out that postal voting documents cannot be sent out before February 10 for logistical reasons. This could cause confusion, especially for eligible voters who have applied for their postal voting documents online. As soon as the application has been processed by the residents’ registration office, citizens will receive a confirmation email stating that they will now receive their documents. “This is an automated response,” explains City Elections Manager Nancy Heynemann. Anyone who has submitted an application – whether online or by post – should not be unsettled: They will receive their postal voting documents in good time before the election.

Anyone who has not received their polling card by Sunday, February 2, can report this from Monday, February 3. In this case, citizens must apply for their polling card directly at the town hall.
