Resolutions from the most recent meeting of the Wolmirstedt City Council
The Wolmirstedt City Council last met on April 3. The men and women who sit on the committee passed the following resolutions at this meeting:
- Granting of an expense allowance for honorary arbitrators in the town of Wolmirstedt: In future, arbitrators in the town of Wolmirstedt are to receive an annual expense allowance of 600 euros. This was unanimously approved by the town councillors.
- Confirmation of an applicant as arbitrator for the Wolmirstedt arbitration board: The city council has confirmed Ms. Ingrid Krüger as arbitrator for the Wolmirstedt arbitration board by a majority vote. The arbitrator is elected for a term of five years by the city council and appointed by the district court.
- Confirmation of an applicant as arbitrator for the Wolmirstedt arbitration board: The city council has confirmed Mr. Dieter G. Lomberg as arbitrator for the Wolmirstedt arbitration board by a majority vote. The arbitrator is elected for a term of five years by the city council and appointed by the district court.
- Agreement of a usage contract with the Wolmirstedt Shooting Club of 1863: The Wolmirstedt City Council has decided by a majority to agree a new usage contract for the municipal land used by the Wolmirstedt Shooting Club. The areas covered by the agreement have already been used since 1992 for the operation of a shooting range with a shooting house and are contractually regulated by the existing usage agreement dated 11.03.1993 together with amendments.
- Conclusion of fee agreements: The city council of Wolmirstedt has unanimously decided to approve the fee agreements between the district of Börde and the Soziale Bürgerinitiative Glindenberg gGmbH as the provider of the daycare facilities “Ohrespatzen”, “Pusteblume”, “Weinbergwichtel” and “Kleine Elbstrolche”. On December 30, 2024, the district of Börde concluded fee agreements with Soziale Bürgerinitiative Glindenberg gGmbH as the provider of the daycare facilities “Ohrespatzen”, “Pusteblume”, “Weinbergwichtel” and “Kleine Elbstrolche”. The agreements for the daycare facilities were concluded for the agreement period from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025. The City of Wolmirstedt has checked and confirmed the plausibility of the calculation documents for the fee agreements.
- Expansion decision for the measure “Redesign of the station forecourt in Wolmirstedt”: The city council has unanimously decided to redesign the Wolmirstedt station forecourt. The measure “Wolmirstedt railroad station forecourt, M2” comprises the redesign of the Wolmirstedt interface in the access area to the DB Station & Service AG transport station to the west of the Wolmirstedt railroad station tracks. The station forecourt essentially consists of the bus station with four bus platforms with bus shelters as well as the associated road and footpath areas and a park & ride facility.
The barrier-free redesign of the existing bus platforms of the bus station is planned as part of measure M2. In addition, the construction of new bicycle parking facilities and the arrangement of two parking spaces with e-charging stations are planned. The planning also includes greening measures with shrub planting and replacement planting for the visual design of the bus waiting areas and the forecourt. The upgrading of the lighting system and surface drainage are also included.
The measure is estimated to cost around 1,998,000 euros. Funding comes from NASA, with a funding rate of 80 percent. This means that the town of Wolmirstedt has to raise around 400,000 euros of its own funds. - Dismissal and appointment of a knowledgeable resident: The City Council voted by a majority to dismiss Mr. Nils Peter Mispelhorn from the Building and Economic Committee and to appoint Mr. Christian Eckhart to the Building and Economic Committee as a knowledgeable resident. This was in line with a communication from the AfD parliamentary group, which nominated the expert resident.
- Decision on the filing of an action against the preliminary building permit issued by the district of Börde on February 9, 2024 for the construction of a battery storage facility by Grüne Energie Solar GmbH: With a narrow majority, namely 11 votes in favor, 10 against and 2 abstentions, the city council of Wolmirstedt has decided to file an action with the Magdeburg Administrative Court against a preliminary building permit issued by the district of Börde, more precisely the replacement of the consent of February 9, 2024. - Election of the deputy of the Chief Administrative Officer in case of prevention: The City Council unanimously elected Mr. Jens Sonnabend as 1st deputy of the Chief Administrative Officer in case of prevention.
- In the non-public part of the city council meeting, two property matters were also decided by a majority and one personnel matter was decided unanimously.
