
80th commemoration day for the liberation of the concentration camp train in Farsleben
To mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the concentration camp train in Farsleben on April 13, 1945 and the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the State Agency for Civic Education and the Wolmirstedt Museum are holding a joint event at the museum. On this evening, the film “Zug ins Leben” by Tom Fugmann (MDR) and interviews with contemporary witnesses will be shown. This will be followed by a guided tour of the exhibition “April 13, 1945 – The Stranded Train of Farsleben”.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for a discussion with the filmmaker and the museum director.
The event is part of the nationwide “Bike the Line” project.
