Swarm of bees in the swimming pool

A swarm of bees has strayed into the Wolmirstedt swimming pool. A beekeeper carefully brought the animals out again.

What’s that buzzing? A swarm of bees got lost in the Wolmirstedt swimming pool on Friday. As swimming supervisor Andreas Grahn reports, the animals did a lap above the pool before gathering on a tree.

A beekeeper from Wolmirstedt was immediately called, who promptly arrived and carefully moved the bees into a bee box. The area around the bee box was cordoned off until the evening, as it was left standing until the last bee had found its way inside. Then the beekeeper took the animals with him. It is assumed that the swarm came from the surrounding area.

Incidentally, no one was pecked, although many schoolchildren were in the outdoor pool celebrating a pool party. The protected animals probably just wanted to have a look. We would like to thank beekeeper Herrmann for his help!
