Postal voting documents are sent out

It won’t be long before the mayoral election takes place in Wolmirstedt. On Sunday, September 7, the citizens of the town and its districts will elect the new head of administration.

The election notifications have been sent to all eligible voters over the past few weeks. Now the administrative staff led by election officer Nancy Heynemann are busy sending out the requested postal voting documents to voters. It is already becoming apparent that Wolmirstedt residents are making increased use of postal voting for this election too.

On Wednesday, August 20, Wednesday, August 27 and Wednesday, September 3, special opening hours will also be set up at the town hall information point from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to give voters the opportunity to cast their postal vote on site.

Anyone who is still undecided will have the opportunity to get a feel for the three mayoral candidates Mathias Knispel (AfD), Mike Steffens (KWG Börde) and Steffen Steinhagen (SPD) on September 3. The town of Wolmirstedt will then be holding an election forum in the museum barn on the castle grounds. Citizens can put their questions to the candidates – on the one hand, cards with questions can be dropped into an urn at the information point in the town hall in advance, on the other hand, they can be sent by email to wahlen@stadtwolmirstedt.de. The people of Wolmirstedt can also ask spontaneous questions on the evening of the election forum. The event starts at 6 pm, admission is from 5.30 pm.
