    The city of Wolmirstedt with its districts Elbeu, Farsleben, Glindenberg and Mose is located only a few kilometers north of the state capital Magdeburg between the Magdeburger Börde and Colbitz-Letzlinger Heide and belongs to the district Börde. Today, about 11,700 inhabitants live here in the corner between the rivers Ohre and Elbe. You can reach Wolmirstedt via the nearby A14/A2 freeways and subsequently via the B189 from Magdeburg or Stendal, or by train using the S-Bahn service close to the city.

    The city of Wolmirstedt is looking to fill a full-time position as of 01.12.2025 as a

    Cashier (m/f/d)

    as a parental leave replacement until 01.08.2027 at the latest.

    The average weekly working time is 39 hours. Remuneration is in accordance with TVöD-VKA in pay group 8 to pay group 9a depending on the actual scope of work.

    What tasks in particular await you?

    • Processing of payment transactions
    • Posting incoming and outgoing payments to debtor and creditor accounts and financial accounting
    • Collaboration in liquidity planning
    • Reconciliation of bank accounts and financial accounts
    • Preparation of cash register statistics
    • Processing of custody accounts and open administrative items

    What should you bring with you?

    • Prerequisite:
      o a degree as an administrative assistant or from the Employee Training Course I or in a commercial field or a comparable qualification;
      o knowledge of MS Office.
    • Desirable:
      o specialist knowledge in the field of finance;
      o at least three years’ professional experience in the area of municipal treasury;
      o a strong understanding of business management requirements;
      o a strong sense of responsibility, high resilience, flexibility, commitment and reliability, communication skills and negotiation skills;
      o a structured and independent way of working;
      o a team-oriented, cooperative working style with strong communication skills, solution orientation, organizational skills and reliability;
      o a confident and fluent command of written and spoken German.
