Gifts from the wishing tree campaign are handed over to institutions

The town of Wolmirstedt organized its own Christmas wish tree campaign for the first time in 2025. The aim was to fulfill small Christmas wishes for children and young people living in Wolmirstedt facilities that could not otherwise have been fulfilled easily. Wish lists from the Caritas women’s and children’s shelter, the “Nomi Rubel-Haus” housing project run by the Workers’ Welfare Association and the “Houses of our Future” in Wolmirstedt were hung on the tree.
The campaign was well received and a complete success: it took less than a week for all the wish lists to be picked. The completed parcels were also quickly returned to the town hall. Most of the wish-fulfillers were very generous and, in addition to the wishes on the wish lists, packed other small items in the parcels and decorated them lovingly.
The town hall’s first Wishing Tree campaign was attended mainly by employees of the administration, but also by some members of the public. A total of 27 gift wishes were fulfilled. The campaign was so well received that it is set to become a tradition. In the coming year, a few more wishes will be added to the town hall’s wish tree.
The town of Wolmirstedt would like to thank everyone involved and wishes them a Merry Christmas!
