Projects from the region wanted: Over 2 million euros in funding is available for projects by associations, citizens, companies and local authorities
The Local Action Group (LAG) Colbitz-Letzlinger Heide is once again calling for the submission of project outlines. Citizens, associations, companies and municipalities can now submit their ideas for the development of the region. The submission deadline is February 28, 2026.
The fourth call for projects continues the successful funding work of recent years. The call includes funding opportunities from the LEADER program, amounting to 2.2 million euros, as well as 125,000 euros from the ERDF program.
Since the start of the current funding period, more than 100 project ideas have been submitted from the region. This is a clear sign of the creativity and interest in shaping the region. Numerous projects are in the application phase, have already been approved, are being implemented or have already been successfully completed. Among the projects funded were meeting places for young and old, new exercise facilities, places of learning or measures for tourism or village development.
“This diversity shows how lively our region is and how much inventiveness there is in the people here,” says CEO Benjamin Otto. “With the new call for projects, we would like to motivate everyone once again to contribute their project ideas and take advantage of the funding opportunities.” An accompanying workshop for those interested in projects is scheduled for January 22 and will make it easier to get started with the application process. There will be an accompanying workshop on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Wolmirstedt Town Hall to provide support and make it easier to start the application process. The event will take place in the council chamber and starts at 5 pm. Associations, companies, municipalities and citizens who are interested in funding from the aforementioned programs can take part.
