The carol singers were recently guests at Wolmirstedt town hall. The men and women took part in the Germany-wide campaign, which collects donations for children in need and in poor circumstances.
This year’s motto was “School instead of factory – carol singing against child labor”. The employees of the city administration, as well as some citizens, donated money. In return, the carol singers left the blessing “Christus mansionem benedictat” (“Christ bless this house”), which they placed on the mailbox of the town hall together with Mayor Mike Steffens. He thanked the carol singers for their commitment, reminding them to stand up for children and their rights.
