Advice on SED injustice

in Wolmirstedt for the Börde district

July 2, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wolmirstedt City Hall, Room 007, August Bebel Str. 25

Victims of the SED’s injustices are entitled to relief from their suffering. The list of injustices is long: political imprisonment, psychological persecution, unjustified confinement in homes or institutions, forced resettlements, expropriations, denial of educational opportunities and school diplomas, state-sponsored doping, and much more. In Haldensleben, the Commissioner of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, in cooperation with the Börde district, offers counseling specifically on these topics: criminal and professional rehabilitation, recognition of health-related sequelae, psychosocial support, and access to Stasi files. During these consultations, those affected also receive support in coming to terms with their own experiences of political persecution.

Of particular importance to those affected: On July 1, 2025, numerous improvements regarding rehabilitation and compensation for victims of SED injustices went into effect; the range of services has been expanded. Consultations are individual and, of course, confidential. Since consultations take place in one-on-one meetings, advance registration is required. Regular office hours apply for registration.
