“Wolmirstedt is cleaning up—join in!”
Mayor Calls for a City Cleanup Day
Under the slogan “Wolmirstedt Cleans Up—Join In!”, the town of Wolmirstedt cordially invites its residents to participate in a cleanup event scheduled for Saturday, September 19, from 9 to 11 a.m. The meeting point is behind City Hall starting at 8:30 a.m.
The goal is to collect trash and debris in downtown Wolmirstedt. “Together, we want to keep our town clean,” says Mayor Mike Steffens, calling on residents to get involved. Clubs, apartment complexes, hobby groups, work colleagues, and similar groups are also encouraged to participate in the cleanup day. The various neighborhoods are likewise invited to clean up their own areas.
Participants should please bring their own gloves. The city will provide trash bags and trash pickers. At the start of the cleanup day, the city will also assign the specific routes to be cleaned.
“All hardworking trash collectors will be treated to a sausage and a drink afterward,” the mayor promises. “We’re happy to welcome every participant to our community-driven town of Wolmirstedt!” To help with planning, the town asks that you register for the cleanup by emailing veranstaltung@stadtwolmirstedt.de. However, spontaneous participation is also welcome.
