City of Wolmirstedt invites citizens to collect garbage

After a long break, the town of Wolmirstedt is once again organizing a spring cleaning campaign this year to clear green spaces, playgrounds, paths, parks and more of carelessly discarded garbage. Experience has shown that after the winter months, a particularly large amount of waste such as cans, candy wrappers, cigarette butts and similar items have accumulated.

Mayor Mike Steffens is therefore now calling on citizens to join forces with the town council to ensure a clean Wolmirstedt. Clubs, associations, businesses, kindergartens, schools, communities, families, groups of friends and other volunteers are also invited to take part in the campaign.

The spring cleaning will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026,
in the time from 9 to 11 am.

The meeting point is from 8.30 a.m. in front of the community center on the castle grounds. Please bring gloves, garbage bags and tools such as brooms, shovels, rakes and garbage tongs will be provided. After the work is done, there will be sausages and drinks for the helpers.
