Culture in the morning

The new “Culture in the morning” lecture series is aimed at anyone who enjoys listening to culture and history in the morning.

The first issue will focus on the Wolmirstedt Küchenhorn. In this lecture, the restau forest and the former local recreation area will be presented with the help of many photographs. Already at the beginning of the 20th century, the Küchenhorn had quickly become a valued excursion destination for the people of Wolmirstedt due to numerous events in its idyllic floodplain forest. The new forest restaurant “Küchenhorn” was very popular with the public and became a popular meeting place for many local clubs. In the fifties, the restaurant “Küchenhorn” was further expanded and due to the proximity to the Mittelland Canal, coffee trips were organized by the “Weiße Flotte” Magdeburg.
