Guided tour of the exhibition “Stranded Train

The Museum Wolmirstedt participates in the Jewish Culture Days in Saxony-Anhalt, under the sponsorship of Leopold Zuns e.V.. Jewish cultures are communicated, celebrated and lived in the Culture Days.

On this occasion, the Wolmirstedt Museum will host a guided tour of the special exhibition “April 13, 1945 – The Stranded Train of Farsleben”. Using unique photographs and drawings, the museum director explains the circumstances and facts surrounding the liberation of over 2,500 Jewish prisoners from the Zug concentration camp in Farsleben by US troops. Among other things, personal fates and life stories are presented. In addition, the silhouette film “Stranded” by Robert Hirschmann will also be shown. A brochure accompanying the exhibition is available in the museum store.
