Dear parents of future school starters for the 2027/28 school year!
We cordially invite you to an open day at the all-day school “Johannes Gutenberg” – Primary School – on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 2:30 – 5:00 pm.
Here the children can try out different stations. Parents are familiarized with the reading-teaching method and learning in the school entry phase – by parents and teachers of the current first graders. Your child’s future teaching team will explain the concept with head, heart and hand, introduce you to the materials for successful learning and will be happy to answer your questions.
You can take a tour of the school building to see the facilities for yourself and talk to teachers and parents over coffee and cake.
We would be delighted to welcome you to our school on this afternoon.
If you would like to use this day to register your children for school, you are welcome to do so. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate, confirmation of registration from the town of Wolmirstedt and the vaccination card (proof of two measles vaccinations).
Otherwise, you have the opportunity to register your child with us on the following dates:
Monday, 19.01.2026, Tuesday, 20.01.2026, Wednesday, 21.01.2026 and
Thursday, 22.01.2026
from 7.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.
or by individual appointment.
