Humanas residential park opens in Wolmirstedt

The care company Humanas from Colbitz has officially opened its new residential park in the town of Wolmirstedt. According to Humanas Managing Director Fabian Biastoch, the senior citizens’ residential complex, which is designed to enable people to live independently while still receiving the help they need, from shopping assistance to intensive care, comprises 28 one-room apartments and 34 two-room apartments.

The majority of the apartments have already been let, and demand is high. Wolmirstedt’s mayor Marlies Cassuhn, who was invited to the opening ceremony, backed this up with figures. She explained to the guests that the town between the Ohre and Elbe rivers is home to 1,993 residents aged between 60 and 70 and 1,525 residents aged between 70 and 80. In addition, there are 999 citizens who are older than 80.

“As mayor, I am delighted that you have taken the entrepreneurial decision to build a Humanas residential home here,” said Marlies Cassuhn. She thanked both Fabian Biastoch and Daniela Wolff, the care manager of the new residential home. “May this Humanas residential home be a place of security and community. I wish you all much joy, health and personal well-being,” said Marlies Cassuhn.

Many of the 17 employees of the Humanas residential home in Wolmirstedt released balloons with wishes into the sky for the opening ceremony, and there were also cultural performances – for example by members of the OK live ensemble.
