Playground reopens on Wednesday, July 30
The closed playground at the Amtstor in Wolmirstedt will reopen on Wednesday, July 30. It had been closed due to a broken branch on a willow tree. A specialist company has inspected the tree and found that although it is affected by a fungus and has suffered as a result, it does not need to be felled completely.
The willow has been heavily pruned. A willow behind it is also to be pruned in the fall. The trees no longer pose any obvious danger, so children will be able to play on the playground again from Wednesday.
The town of Wolmirstedt would like to thank the citizens for their understanding and patience – the safety of the children was the top priority in this case!
