Church communities and the city commemorate the victims of war and violence
Together with the Protestant and Catholic parishes and representatives from local politics, Wolmirstedt’s mayor Marlies Cassuhn commemorated the victims of war and violence on Remembrance Day.
Wreaths were therefore laid at the war memorial in the municipal cemetery, and a pause was also made at the graves of forced laborers in the Wolmirstedt cemetery. In addition to a speech by the mayor, Protestant pastor Ute Kopp accompanied the event with words of dignity and admonition, while the Wolmirstedt trombone choir provided a musical backdrop.
