As part of the annual St. Martin’s festival in Wolmirstedt, the organizers of the Protestant daycare centre and the Storchennest daycare centre would like to share their gratitude and impressions. Together with the town of Wolmirstedt, they have been organizing the St. Martin’s procession for three years now, which has become a special highlight for the town. Numerous participants contribute to the success of the festival and make it an unforgettable experience for the children.

Dear City Councillors, Dear Mayor Cassuhn,

Sharing like St. Martin is the motto of St. Martin’s Day in Wolmirstedt.

We, the co-organizers of the Evangelische Kita and the Kita Storchennest, would like to share a few pictures and impressions of Friday’s St. Martin’s procession. The town of Wolmirstedt, the Protestant kindergarten and the Storchennest daycare centre have been organizing the St. Martin’s procession for Wolmirstedt for the past three years. Many parents have spoken very positively about the parade today. It has become a special highlight of Wolmirstedt. This is shown by the participation of the residents.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you,

- for the courage to organize this celebration together with us as institutions

- for the financial resources (e.g. assumption of costs for the chapel) that are planned in the budget

- for applying for the various permits so that this move can take place (thank you Mr. Sonnabend and Mr. Neumann) and everything is in order and safe

- for the preparation of the site at the museum barn, electricity, fire bowls, lanterns in the trees (thanks to the building yard)

- for the good cooperation with the fire department, as well as the use of the youth fire department (torch bearers)

- Accompaniment by the fire engines and illumination of the site

- securing the junctions and roads by the local police officers

- the welcome and accompaniment of the procession by Ms. Rakowski, Mr. Kohlrausch or Ms. Cassuhn

- to the sound technicians of the Protestant church, who make it possible for everyone to hear something

- Mr. Schmidt or Mrs. Kopp for the impulse for the Martinmas celebration

- the canoe club and the volunteers who ensure the good provisioning

- with Mrs. Billowie – who provides sufficient advertising in the daily newspaper

- at the Protestant daycare center – for organizing the St. Martin’s crescents

- to all those who work in the background to make this evening a special experience for the children

We are pleased about this good cooperation.

The participation of the many parents and children, as well as all the people who like to come to this parade, shows that the St. Martin’s festival should remain an integral part of Wolmirstedt.
