Children are cordially invited to the St. Martin’s festival on the castle grounds
Together with the “Storchennest” day nursery and the integrative after-school care center of the Bodelschwingh-Haus Wolmirstedt Foundation as well as the St. Katharinen Protestant day nursery, the town of Wolmirstedt is once again hosting a traditional St. Martin’s Day festival on the castle grounds this year. On Friday, November 7, from 5.30 p.m., all children from the town, as well as from the surrounding villages, are invited to attend with their families.
There will be one small change this year: For safety reasons, among others, there will be no St. Martin’s procession in the public street area. However, the idea is that all the children and their families will parade independently with their lanterns to the castle grounds and meet there. The festival will then begin, with music provided by the duo “Handgemacht” and catering provided by the Wolmirstedt Canoe Club.
In addition, the “Share like St. Martin” campaign will once again be combined with a fundraising campaign. Like St. Martin’s divided cloak, a monetary donation will help people who urgently need it. There will be opportunities to make donations at the daycare centers and at the barn. The aim is to support the children’s hospice in Magdeburg.
