The town of Wolmirstedt invited all 100 poll workers who worked in the 11 polling stations on June 9, 2024 to a brunch in the Katharinensaal. The aim was to say thank you for their personal commitment and at the same time create an opportunity to discuss the organization of the elections, because after the election is before the election. And it is important that the preparations for the premises, the documents and the deployment of staff are well coordinated. One conclusion was already clear on the day of the election. Because there are more and more postal voters, a second postal voting committee is to be set up.
The administration has informed that the district council elections in the Börde district will be held on 16.03.2025 and the elections to the German Bundestag in the fall. As the mayor’s term of office ends on 05.12.2025, there will be another election. Whether this can be combined with the Bundestag elections, for example, has not yet been examined.
