Topping-out ceremony for new senior living quarter

A senior living quarter is currently being built on Fabrikstraße in Wolmirstedt. The foundation stone for Nicole and Robert Jacobs’ project was only laid at the end of April 2025. But the construction companies involved put in a lot of hard work and the topping-out ceremony was held on August 1.

The investors hammered the final nail into the residential complex, the construction of which the town of Wolmirstedt has supported from the outset on the official side and expressly welcomes. With 37 apartments, day care and a meeting place, the innovative senior living quarter will not only offer residents a place to call home, but will also give them a real quality of life with many extras such as a senior garden.

Among many other guests, Wolmirstedt’s town planner Doris Bunk and town redeveloper Heike Pessel, both from the town council’s urban development and road construction department, accepted the invitation to the topping-out ceremony. They presented gifts and warm greetings from Mayor Marlies Cassuhn.

The first residents are due to move into the “Wohnkultur an der Ohre”, the name of the new neighborhood that is a true affair of the heart for the Jacobs family, as early as the beginning of 2026.
