The Wolmirstedt kitchen horn

The Wolmirstedt Museum invites you to a lecture on the kitchen horn. In this lecture by Anette Pilz, the Restauenwald and the former recreation area are presented with the help of many photographs. Already at the beginning of the 20th century, the Küchenhorn had quickly become a valued excursion destination for the people of Wolmirstedt due to numerous events in its idyllic floodplain forest. The new forest restaurant “Küchenhorn” was very popular with the public and became a popular meeting place for many local clubs. In the fifties, the restaurant “Küchenhorn” was further expanded and due to the proximity to the Mittelland Canal, coffee trips were organized by the “Weiße Flotte” Magdeburg.
