City of Wolmirstedt takes part in the popular bicycle campaign

There will also be an Elbe Cycle Day in 2026, where interested cyclists will be introduced to the benefits of the region, especially the Elbe Cycle Path. It will take place on Sunday, May 3. The town of Wolmirstedt is taking part in the event together with the district of Börde and is inviting cyclists to take part in a cycle tour.

The start is at the castle domain: participants are welcome there from 9 a.m. and can take part in a guided tour of the museum and enjoy a welcome coffee. The cycle tour then starts at 10 am. The tour leads from Wolmirstedt via Heinrichsberg, Glindenberg and Elbeu and from there back to Wolmirstedt. In total, the tour called “Opening of the cycling season” leads around 25 kilometers through the Börde. The pace is moderate, so that even less trained cyclists can take part.

The trip should end at around 12.30 p.m. at the Cassuhn ice cream parlor, where participants will have the opportunity to get an ice cream.
