The “Ohreblick” Allotment Garden Section Receives the Mayor’s Trophy of Honor
Wolmirstedt is a town of allotment gardens: There are plenty of garden plots and allotment gardens here, all of which are well utilized.
Mayor Mike Steffens recently had the opportunity to attend an event organized by the Wolmirstedt District Association of Allotment Gardeners and, together with its chairman, Bernd Lucas, present a trophy to the “Ohreblick” allotment garden section.
This year, the “Mayor of Wolmirstedt’s Honorary Cup” was awarded to this particular gardening club of all places because it consists not only of individual members but of a vibrant community that embraces their shared hobby with joy, passion, and a sense of togetherness. The club’s board also carries out its duties with heart and soul, great dedication, and by setting a genuine example.
