Textiles can be dropped off at the Elbeu drop-off point
As of now, there are no longer any used clothing collection bins in Wolmirstedt. The waste management company removed all of its clothing collection bins—including the one on August-Bebel-Straße—without prior notice.
Used clothing that is in reusable or recyclable condition can be dropped off free of charge at the small collection point in Elbeu, located at Meitzendorfer Straße 2. This is also possible at the small collection points operated by Kommunalservice Börde in Haldensleben, Oschersleben, Oebisfelde, and Wanzleben.
Clothing or used textiles that are heavily soiled or contaminated with certain substances—such as work clothes—must be disposed of in general waste bins or can be dropped off at small collection points as general waste; however, a fee applies.
The town of Wolmirstedt asks residents to refrain from continuing to leave used clothing or bags of clothing at the locations where clothing containers used to be, as these items are no longer collected by the companies.
