International Holocaust Remembrance Day

On the occasion of Holocaust Memorial Day, a presentation of new research on the event surrounding the “Stranded Train of Farsleben” will take place.

Afterwards, Anette Pilz will lead a tour of the exhibition “April 13, 1945 – The Stranded Train of Farsleben”.

Using unique photographs and drawings, the museum director explains the circumstances and facts surrounding the liberation of over 2,500 Jewish prisoners from the Zug concentration camp in Farsleben by US troops. Among other things, personal fates and life stories are presented. The silhouette film “Stranded” by Robert Hirschmann will also be shown on this day. A brochure accompanying the exhibition is available in the museum store.

Prior registration is requested. For more information, please call: 039201/21363.
