General information According to the circular of the Ministry of Education, all children who turn 6 years of age by June 30, 2025 are required to attend school at the beginning of the following school year and must be enrolled in the public elementary school responsible for them by March 1, 2024. Children who reach the age of 5 by June 30, 2025 can be registered. Registration forms should be obtained from the appropriate public elementary school. Legal guardians whose children were deferred in the previous year can also request the registration documents from the relevant public elementary school. If a child is to attend an elementary school that is located outside the defined catchment area of the public elementary school responsible according to the main place of residence, the legal guardians must submit an application for an exception. The application must be sent to the elementary school originally responsible according to the catchment area. The application can be obtained from the relevant elementary school.
Applications for enrollment outside of the defined catchment area are decided upon by the State Education Authority after a justified application has been submitted by the legal guardians.
Registration 3.1. Adolph Diesterweg” elementary school, Triftstraße 7 in Wolmirstedt All school-age children in the catchment area of the “Adolph Diesterweg” elementary school who have reached the age of six by June 30, 2025, are entitled to attend the Monday, 22.01.2024 in the time from 14:00 – 17:00 or Thursday, 25.01.2024 in the time from 08:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the secretary’s office of the elementary school. 3.2. Johannes Gutenberg” elementary school, Meseberger Straße 32 in Wolmirstedt All school-age children in the catchment area of the “Johannes Gutenberg” elementary school, who have reached the age of six by June 30, 2025, are entitled to Monday, 19.02.2024 in the time from 07:00 – 15:00, Tuesday, 20.02.2024 in the time from 07:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. or Wednesday, 21.02.2024 in the time from 07:00 – 17:00, in the secretary’s office of the elementary school.
