    The town of Wolmirstedt with its districts of Elbeu, Farsleben, Glindenberg and Mose is located just a few kilometers north of the state capital Magdeburg between the Magdeburger Börde and Colbitz Letzlinger Heide and belongs to the district of Börde. Today, about 11,700 inhabitants live here in the corner between the rivers Ohre and Elbe. You can reach Wolmirstedt via the nearby A14/A2 highways and then via the B189 from Magdeburg or Stendal, or by train on the S-Bahn (suburban railroad) near the city.

    To strengthen our team in the IT department, we are looking for you for a permanent full-time position at the earliest possible date as a new colleague for the following position

    IT Administrator (m/f/d) for system and application support

    Remuneration is in accordance with TVöD-VKA in pay group 9b.

    What tasks in particular await you?

    • Operation of a ticket system and documentation of incidents;
    • Taking over all 1st and 2nd level support tasks on site at the workstations, by telephone, service desk or via remote connection;
    • IT-side setup of new workstations;
    • Identification and classification of hardware and software problems;
    • Internal hardware and software installation of clients, scanners, printers, video conferencing systems and other peripheral devices;
    • Support of the telephone system, setup and administration of mobile devices; support of ActiveDirectory, server services, Windows Server 2019 and 2022, and implementation of software updates;
    • Administration, error detection and correction in the specialist applications of the individual workstations;
    • Implementation of OZG IT requirements, in particular adaptation, interface and technology adjustments and support with the implementation of OZG services;
    • Adaptation of the BUS integration on the homepage, web interface integration; organization of user training by third parties or instruction of internal employees;
    • Coordination of external IT service providers;
    • Participation in the preparation of service specifications and technical evaluation of bids in the context of public awards/tenders for the IT department.

    What should you bring with you?

    Prerequisite:

    • Completed training as an information technology specialist, IT systems technician, IT systems administrator, IT systems electronics technician, IT systems integration specialist or completed vocational training with several years of demonstrable professional experience in IT system and application support in one or more companies or public institutions;
    • secure knowledge of standard IT applications and current operating systems (Microsoft server environment, Exchange);
    • Sound knowledge in the planning, introduction and maintenance of network technologies/network services, hardware and software as well as new client/server applications and the willingness to familiarize yourself with specialist programs;
    • Experience in the support of specialized applications, such as remote desktop, Citrix user platform, planning and implementation of updates, patches, maintenance and repairs, etc,
    • High sense of responsibility, high resilience, flexibility, commitment and reliability, ability to communicate with users;
    • structured and independent way of working;
    • the willingness to learn and comply with public service regulations;
    • confident and fluent in written and spoken language;
    • Class B driver’s license.

      desirable:

      • Knowledge of administrative procedures,
      • Reference to media and presentation technology in the school environment (smartboards, school network, student terminals).
